New iPhone 5S TouchID Finger Print Scanner Hacked

Just days after Apple release the iPhone 5S with its new finger print scanner... someone has already found a way passed it with a little hack...

Chaos Computer Club, a hacker group based in Europe has found a way to get passed the new TouchID fingerprint scanning lock on the new iPhone 5s which was also just released a few days ago... and its really not something new, unless you haven't seen a similar method used in Mission Impossible by replicating a fingerprint in such a way that you could probably do it at home.According to CCC, the method only required a minor workaround
First, the fingerprint of the enrolled user is photographed with 2400 dpi resolution. The resulting image is then cleaned up, inverted and laser printed with 1200 dpi onto transparent sheet with a thick toner setting. Finally, pink latex milk or white woodglue is smeared into the pattern created by the toner onto the transparent sheet. After it cures, the thin latex sheet is lifted from the sheet, breathed on to make it a tiny bit moist and then placed onto the sensor to unlock the phone.
Ok so its not exactly something you'd do whilst sitting at a bar and you've left your phone within vulnerable reach of your mates who want to frape the hell out of your Facebook profile while you've gone to the bathroom, but it is possible in the event that someone really really wants to gain unauthorised access to your iPhone... do I need to remind you how far psycho boyfriends/girlfriends will go... hmmm 🙂Just when you thought those pics of you down at the local strip club were finally safe and sound secured by your fingerprint... you can only ask yourself right now if you've recently got your hands on a new iPhone5S... where is your phone? where is your girlfriend? sweating yet? haha 🙂No surprise however that Apple did promote TouchID for both convenience and as a security feature. “Your fingerprint is one of the best passwords in the world,” says an Apple promotional video. “The technology within TouchID is some of the most advanced hardware or software we’ve put in any device.” hmmm yeah... guess not.Interested to see what Apple come back with, although I won't hold my breath if I were you...since after the dismal iPhone 5 battery performance fiasco, which I experienced in full force, and still haven't heard of any major improvement...I'll quite happily keep enjoying my Samsung S4 that I switched over to a while back...Check out this video of the method...
