Searching For Sugar Man Wins Best Documentary At The BAFTA’s

Possibly the greatest documentary I've seen to date, Searching For Sugar Man, The Story Of Rodriguez came out tops at the BAFTA Awards last night...

Malik Bendjelloul and Simon ChinnYou may remember the full review I did on Searching For Sugar Man a few months back, if you haven't read it yet, I'd suggest you do so right now... even more so, if you haven't actually seen the documentary yet then I'd serious say, make a plan and watch it as soon as you can because this is definitely on that list of documentaries that you absolutely HAVE to see before you die.Last night at the Bafta Awards in London, Director Malik Bendjelloul and Simon Chinn claimed their truly most deserving award for Best Documentary with Searching For Sugar Man... to be honest, if they didn't get it then it would be pretty clear that the whole thing was rigged, but they did win it and that is what counts.Next up... The Academy Awards... I'm not a betting man, but I'm so sure that Malik will be taking home an Oscar that night that I'd even put money on it!Well done guys, you truly, absolutely and completely deserve that award for such an amazingly portraid story.Rodriguez couldn't also be there to collect the award... why?... because he was doing what he does best... and that was performing in a sell out show in Cape Town last night... as he does 🙂Big round of applause! 🙂Check out the full list of winners here

You can quote them, disagree with them, glorify or vilify them, but the only thing you can’t do is ignore them because they change things… they push the human race forward, because the ones who are crazy enough to think that they can change the world, are the ones who do.”
