RECIPE: Chocolate Slides (Crunchies)

So today I had one of those 'must eat something sweet right now' cravings. Only to find no snacks in my kitchen. Meh. Oh but wait, I do recall having a quick and easy recipe passed on by a school friend some 20 years ago AND I have all the ingredients - bonus!Ingredients:1 cup shredded coconut1 cup oats1 cup flourpinch of salt1/2 cup sugar2 heaped teaspoons cocoa1 teaspooon baking powder180g melted butter or margarineMethod:Mix dry ingredients, stir in melted butter.Press into prepared baking tray (about 30cm x 20cm or smaller, depending on how thick you like them, I just line my tin with greaseproof paper).Bake at 160 degrees C for approximately 30 minutes.Icing:1 cup icing sugar2 heaped teaspoons cocoa.Mix with a little water until a paste. Pour over crunches whilst still warm. Let cool then slice into squares. (Tip: Try not be a complete glutton like me by slicing and scoffing before the icing has set... hence the less than perfect pic below!)
