Secrecy Bill Protest In London This Saturday

This Saturday 18th February 2012, South African's will once again make their way down to South Africa House in London to make their voices heard against the Protection of Information Bill in South Africa...

Following the success of the first Secrecy Bill protest in London in early December last year, this Saturday 18th February 2012 at 11am, South African's in London will once again stand together outside South Africa House and share their disagreement of the Protection Of Information/Secrecy Bill in South Africa. As you may be aware the bill was passed through parliament and is currently with the National Council Of Provinces (NCOP) who will decide whether it carries on further in its current form.

The London protest forms the final part of an international protest by South African's in various cities around the world, New York, USA  on 21 January, Mumbai, India on 28 January and Perth, Australia  on 11 February.

The Protection of State Information Bill affects each and every South African and if you are not yet aware of how this affects you, see this previously posted article to get up to speed, most South African's outside of London still have family and friends that still live in South Africa, are you going to sit back and do nothing for them when you have a great opportunity to help? Now is your chance!

For more information see this Facebook Event and come down on Saturday to stand together against the Protection Of Information Bill and make our voices heard once again, since as we found out last time, it made huge waves across South Africa, so if you couldn't make it last time, and like many wished they had, now is your chance to be a part of that! You're not going to want to miss this one thats for sure!

Place: South Africa House, Trafalgar Square, London

When: 11am 18th February 2012

If I could sum myself up in one quote, I believe Steve Jobs said it best… “Here’s to the crazy ones, the misfits, the rebels, the troublemakers, the round pegs in the square holes, the ones who see things differently, they’re not fond of rules. You can quote them, disagree with them, glorify or vilify them, but the only thing you can’t do is ignore them because they change things… they push the human race forward, because the ones who are crazy enough to think that they can change the world, are the ones who do.”
