Booze is going to cost more as our government have decided to raise the excise duty on spirits so a bottle of our favourite Klippies will cost an extra few bucks per bottle and the cost of tobacco will go up as well. Motorists are going to be bricking it (or looking for car-pooling opportunities) with the new government levy of 30c/litre being added to your fuel bill so if you're planning a night out or a jol at home, best you stock up now or find some really good supermarket deals. Ol' Gordy reckons the country will raise an additional R9.5bn with these changes. For expats, looks like SA as a cheap holiday destination might not be the case after all.
