Joost Heavily Saddened By The Passing Of Jonah Lomu

Joost Van Der Westhuizen expresses his heartfelt devastation  following the sad passing of All Black Rugby Legend, Jonah Lomu

Earlier today I posted the article covering the very sad passing of Former All Black and Rugby Legend, Jonah Lomu.Sadly I also knew while writing that post early this morning is that when Joost woke up this morning like everyone else, he wasn't going to take the passing of his dear friend well at all.Joost posted this very heartfelt tweet earlier on Twitter. You just couldn't imagine what it must feel to him and others that have shared such special world-changing moments together, to have such a special bond with legends of Rugby of that calibre.Joostie, as I mentioned to you guys earlier, sterkte my friend, thinking of you and all those who were close to Jonah. For those who are unaware, Jonah made time to visit Joost at his home in Johannesburg some months ago whilst filming his documentary,  Jonah Lomu - Back To South Africa which is available to watch in its entirety on iTunes, UK linkSee a clip of this very emotional visit, it's incredibly moving... do yourself a favour and listen to every word that Jonah says and above all, listen to it with your heart.

You can quote them, disagree with them, glorify or vilify them, but the only thing you can’t do is ignore them because they change things… they push the human race forward, because the ones who are crazy enough to think that they can change the world, are the ones who do.”
